Day 12

My parents wish they were back in Miami, Oklahoma, and you will hear more of that later, so on to today. It starts with a drive to New Jersey where we boarded a ferry to a couple of special islands that you might have heard of. But let's be honest, who hasn't heard of them? It was Elise Island and Liberty Island. We wandered about Elise Island for about an hour exploring the museum. We next hopped onto the ferry again and went by Liberty Island where we took the liberty to wave to America's favorite lady. Sorry, bad pun. We did not go on the Island, it was too crowded, besides we had a better view from the boat. We next traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where we learned about their trading cards. You would go up to a ranger where, if he had it, you would be asked a question and if you answer it correctly you would trade the answer for the card. Mason and Landon got all the cards, me and Lucy got five, and I think Brayden got one but I'm not so sure. We saw the Liberty Bell, visited Franklin's old home (which they tore down forever ago to make a road), and went into Independence  Hall which will so help with my book. Mason and Landon became Junior Rangers, again. We had Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, we just had to have it there. Now to explain my opening statement. We were looking for a hotel in a town called King of Persia where we could not find a room that we want. At least in Miami we could find an uncrowded hotel, even if there was nothing to do.
See ya,
Hannah
