Day 13

Happy Birthday Landon!!!  Can you believe that Landon is seven? It's CRAZY!!  Anyway so today we went to Valley Forge and took a tour there.  Landon also got his birthday present there, which was a toy rifle with a powder horn.  After Valley Forge we went to Hershey, Pennsylvania.  Where we went to Chocolate World!  We had so much fun there!  We took a tour of how they make chocolate and it was amazing!  After the tour we got some chocolate, of course we would, who wouldn't?  We also got a pack of extra long licorice.  After there we went to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  It was an amazing experience to see where soldiers fought and gave their lives for us.  We went to a few places around Gettysburg.  First we went to the Soldiers' National Cemetery, where we found the great-grandfather of Richard Nixon buried.  Next we went to the General Robert E. Lee's Memorial.  Then we went to a metal tower made by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, it was an amazing view where we could see the battle field that the soldiers fought on.  We then went to a few more memorials before heading to Alexandria, Virginia, where we are going to be staying in for the next few days.
